So if you've been by the blog before, you have likely seen me post about my novel, The Town That Drowned. Well, in the incredibly-exciting-and-almost-unbelievable-but-true category of things going on in my life, the novel just won the regional 2012 Commonwealth Book Prize for Canada and Europe. (That's me in the middle above. Click the pic for more info)

I have had a lot of book excitement lately (even more info here) I was also in Newfoundland last week for the Atlantic Book Awards and took a lot of fabulous pictures that I will hopefully share eventually.

In quilting news, I will be going to the Canadian Quilters' Association National Juried Show in Halifax next weekend. I am excited to see my quilt, The Selvage Mummy, hanging in the show. Unfortunately, the only time photos are allowed at the juried show is right after the awards when quilters who had entries juried in can pose with their own quilt and I will not be there then. General photography is not allowed. Oh well.

So, I'll be back eventually. Happy Quilting! And please, please if you are at the National Juried Show and see me, grab me and say 'Hi'. I would love, love to meet more quilters.
